Recently, I had to make a few thank you cards in a hurry. Because of the number of cards I needed, I kept the design simple so I could easily duplicate. I delved into my collection and found a cute Altenew*stamp set—the script “thanks” is what caught my eye. After a little thought, I decided to recreate the example provided in the stamp set.
Admittedly, I’m not big on creating stamped backgrounds since I rely on my stamp positioning tools to help me with stamping. However, this card design required me to manually stamp the background using the lovely branches. And, it was a challenge because I’m not a very good stamper. But, I will say I had fun making the background (although not perfect).
I selected muted color palettes (guess I was feeling “wintery”). I used Catherine Pooler* inks from her Spa Collection—Sage, Spruce and Over Coffee. I also made my cards in note card size – 3.5 inches by 5 inches.
Supplies Used
- Mini Thanks Stamp Set (Altenew)
- Sage, Over Coffee, Sage ink pads (Catherine Pooler)
- Obsidian Black Pigment Ink (Altenew)
- Solar White 100# card stock (Neenah)
Here are my little creations to give a big thank you to some very generous and kind friends.

I hope my little note cards have inspired you to send a small hug or to thank someone in your life.
